3. Scoring Rules
Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards will first be awarded based on the performance of British students according to a predetermined percentage. For students from other countries, awards will be determined directly based on the passing score, not according to their total score.

Feedback from the international organizing committee indicates that due to the high difficulty of the 2025 SPC exam, students generally scored low. Therefore, only bronze awards will be given this year, without distinguishing between bronze award I and bronze award II. All other awards remain unchanged.

To secure a spot in the first batch of BPhO, an SPC Silver award or higher is required, with a minimum score of approximately 20-21 points. An IPC Gold award requires approximately 22-23 points.
For the second batch of BPhO, an IPC Bronze award or higher is required, with a minimum score of approximately 6-7 points.
